Optimizing teacher impact is the best path towards improving student outcomes.
As an educator with two decades of experience in the classroom, I have worked with a large population of diverse students at the middle school level. Tired of resources that were never quite right, I set out to create my own content that could address the limitations I was seeing in my own classroom. This led to the development of innovative math content, which I still use, to reach all students in an engaging and effective way. With a large number of students making aggressive-growth and state assessment scores at the top of Missouri rankings, I am confident that I can help other teachers improve their craft.

As a department chair for many years, I am also very comfortable working with teachers at various grade levels. Likewise, I have presented on various educational topics at the district level, and have shared insights with teachers from many different content areas. Ultimately, my understanding of the professional development teachers really want, is very clear.

Outside of my own District, I have presented at various educational conferences on implementing standards-based grading and have worked as an independent contractor for McGraw Hill, Smarter Balanced, Learnzillion, and Tang Math.

Inspiring teachers to try new things, to improve their craft, is my passion. Math may be my content specialty but my approach transcends subject matter and grade-level.
